Hi, I'm Amanda!
I am an aspiring art teacher in Eastern Iowa. I graduated from Mount Mercy with a degree in Art and Secondary Education a few years ago. I'm still on the hunt for a full time art teaching job.
I've been subbing and working part time at a local Lutheran school. They haven't had an art teacher and received a grant this past school year to hire me for a few days a week. It was an amazing experience.
I have been working at the daycare in town and enjoy teaching my art lessons as well as teaching the kids lessons from other subject areas in a fun environment.
When I'm not working or subbing, I enjoy oil painting and acrylic painting. I enjoy creating all different kinds of art, but painting is my favorite. There's just something about putting paint on a canvas that makes me happy.
